BARKE Iris LLC is owned by Barbara Sallee-Kereszturi and is cooperating in various projects with other companies, institutions and civil organisations.
Barbara is a human ecologist, professional educator, curriculum designer and consultant who has taught professionally both in Switzerland and Hungary and designed and conducted educational and sustainability projects in many countries on several continents.
Her professional profile includes the topics of sustainable rural development, sustainable communication, biodiversity and landscape protection and cultural approaches to sustainability as well as teaching interdisciplinary methods on how to involve the youth.
Barbara is also a creative and communications professional who has worked for more than three decades at the intersection of data collection, information management, monitoring and sustainability. With the Hungarian Biodiversity Research Society, Barbara manages scientific communication, the stratetic outreach and engagement, while applying and teaching international best practices.
Aside from being the CEO of BARKE Iris Kft., a company for sustainable projects and communication, she is also an instructor and examiner at the Goethe-Institute in Budapest for German language and culture and works as a translator and interpreter in English, German and Hungarian. Barbara designs and moderates workshops for sustainable projects and teaching/learning programs and facilitates dialogues between disciplines, stakeholders, local actors and other participants.
